SOMALIA
Attacks against
ships in the Gulf of Aden is increasing
Four
ships Attacked, including two captured in a few hours. The
international armada deployed in the Gulf of Aden does not seem to
deter the pirates who plagued. Despite the presence of American and
French patrols off Somalia, the buccaneers were arrested Tuesday, two
cargo ships of Greek Irene EM flag of Saint Vincent and the
Grenadines, and the Lebanese Sea Horse, which Togolese flag. Later
that same day, two other vessels, a Liberian and one American, have
escaped the attacks of the pirates.
These
taken place just few days after U.S. and French military operations
to rescue hostages captured. Friday, the French army had intervened
to free five of his fellow boaters used by pirates. One of the
hostages and two gangsters were killed during that intervention. More
recently, last Sunday, the U.S. Navy had also conduct an operation to
free from hands of pirates, Richard Phillips, the master of Maersk
Alabama, kept prisoner for five days on a lifeboat in the open Indian
Ocean.
